Caravan to Cuba event – July 7

On Thursday, July 7 a school bus will roll into Fresno, jammed with cargo and people, windows wide open for cooling, covered with colorful artwork showing its mission – Pastors for Peace Caravan to Cuba.  Some local people, including Gerry Bill and Leni V Reeves will be joining the many other Caravanistas traveling on 12 buses through Canada and the US.

The sendoff event is July 7 at Margaret Hudson’s Barn, 4247 N. Thorne, Fresno (north off Ashlan and west of Palm) from 6 to 9 PM with a potluck supper, entertainment by Merlinda Espinoza, speakers, and an opportunity to talk to the Caravanistas.

As a bonus, one can also see Margaret Hudson’s remarkable sculpture garden.

Come help send them off – it’ll be fun. Oh, and bring your own ‘place setting’ to save paper plates.
